Stepper motor driver in an open case.
See detailed information on SMD‑8.0 carrier kit version at our main web-site
The SMD-8.0 stepper motor driver is available in two configurations: a frameless design in the form of an open board with mounting holes and an open-case version with a DIN clamp. This compact and lightweight driver features a small footprint, making it space-efficient for installation. When paired with a stepper motor, the SMD-8.0 driver ensures quiet operation with minimal vibration and noise. It is optimized for microstepping of up to 1/256, offering high motor output torque. Additionally, the driver is equipped with a FAULT output to indicate the device's status.
Stepper motor control methods include:
• Pulse Position Control: This method utilizes standard logic signals STEP/DIR and ENABLE to achieve pulse position control of the stepper motor.
• Analog Speed Control: Analog speed control for the stepper motor can be accomplished in two ways:
- Through an external voltage signal in the range of 0 to 10 VDC.
- Using the built-in potentiometer.
