The SMD-4.2 stepper motor driver with a DIN clamp is available in two configurations: an open case design and a frameless version. This compact and lightweight driver features a small, open housing. When paired with a stepper motor, the driver ensures quiet operation with minimal vibration and noise. The SMD-4.2 driver is optimized for delivering smooth movement with microstepping capabilities of up to 1/256, offering excellent dynamics and high motor torque.
Stepper motor control methods include:
• Pulse Position Control: This method utilizes standard logic signals STEP/DIR and ENABLE to achieve pulse position control of the stepper motor.
• Analog Speed Control: Analog speed control for the stepper motor can be accomplished in two ways:
- Through an external voltage signal in the range of 0 to 10 VDC.
- Using the built-in potentiometer.
